The Story of Our Pets

Caiden seems great this morning, vibrant with energy. It relieved me to see him running and jumping around as usual and gradually gaining back his 2 kilos of weight.

He's been sick with vomiting and diarrhea since a couple of weeks with no clue of the cause. The vet suspected due to him unable to digest his food properly or perhaps stomach ulcer.

Manis also showing the same symptoms and lost much weight. But after the visit to the vet she haven't been vomitting till today. She gets it a week earlier than Caiden. We've checked their ears also but they are clean.

My husband and I cleaned and sanitized their room including all their eating and drinking utensils with hot water. Changed back the kibbles to second age kitten's together with additional vitamins and treats.

Even their litter was changed back to use sand instead of wood pellets. Cleaning up the litter box is one thing but cleaning up watered poo & vomit is triple the effort. So tired.

Yesterday the electrician spent roughly 10 hours installing the 12 inch exhaust fan in the kitchen as well as in the cat's room. We have been looking around for a reasonable price to install them.

Their room have a sharp smell due to their food and litter. Although we open up the windows but the smelly air is always regulating within the room.

Hence, every morning when we open up the door, Manis specially will sprint out from the room to fresh air. Sometimes I don't even realized she is missing from the room. 🙄

Last night we switch on the exhaust fan in their room. Initially the room still rather smelly but when I checked on them again around 3 a.m. the smell is totally gone! I was so impressed.

One more impressive thing is, this morning when I open the door to their room, every little brats just slept through while ignoring me. Nobody sprinting out from the room. 🤯

The room became airy and cooling. In fact since I turned on the exhaust fan in the kitchen the living hall and dining area became very cosy. At least I'm not sweating while watching tv.

And for the first time last night our aircond feels so cold until I need to switched it off and turned on the fan level 3. That's amazing! Just a simple adjustment in the kitchen clears up the hot air that was trapped in the house.

Recently we invest on another Bengal queen from a breeder in Kedah. We name her Seri. Not sure though whether we want to become breeder or not in future but even kittens from non-certified sire & dam will be valued by Bengal lovers.

Manis is a non-certified Snow Marble dam. She has been pregnant twice and her kitten quite sellable. Just now I feel that her small size may not be suitable for breeding, in her second labour one of her litter is as small as my two fingers.

She wasn't breathing after birth but we tried CPR her and gently presses her chest for heart beat. She was so small that she didn't get the strength to suckle and compete with her siblings. The litter didn't make it through the 3rd day.

My other male cat is called Tuah. He is being singled out as the only DLH (domestic long hair) in the house. We found him though frantically trying to find his mom when he was about 2 months old near the Night Market.

It boggles my mind from where he came from because who would ever leave their DLH kitten unattended? In a Night Market. When we brought him home he seems like a proper well maintained kitten.

He's in a good size for 2 months old, no flees and not fierce like the street cat. Now, weighing about 4 kilos, his behavior is totally opposite from my other cats.

He likes to be pampered and sleep on my lap. While our Bengals, you will find them either climbing the curtains or bull fight each other like nobody's business. Maybe Caiden will jump on the table and ripped off the bread to pieces.

Whatever it is, I still adores them. They are like my kids and they know it. 🐆🐅 May Allah bless our little family with human kids soon. Amin.
